Information From Your Employer

Merced Community College District is excited to kick off the 2024-2025 Benefits Open Enrollment! As we continue our partnership with American Fidelity, it’s important that benefits selections are confirmed each year. This year's enrollment will mimic our 2021-2022 enrollment where all staff members are required to schedule an in-person meeting with an American Fidelity account manager and bring the required documentation to verify dependents (Dependent Verification Review). During the meeting you'll be able to complete your health enrollment, update/renew Flexible Spending Accounts, and receive information about voluntary benefits that are important to you and your family. Whether you elect to maintain your current benefit plan or add/change a covered dependent, it is important that you complete your enrollment with an American Fidelity account manager.

Prepare for Enrollment

When did you last review your benefits? Even if it seems like yesterday, there’s probably a lot that’s changed, from within your family to the benefit options available to you. The benefits you picked last year may not be the best fit for this year. Check out this video for how to get the most out of your enrollment this year.

Ways to Enroll

New This Enrollment

There are some new or updated options available during this enrollment. Be sure to check with your American Fidelity representative for more details.

  • Dependent Verification Review (DVR)
A Dependent Verification Review can help prevent you from paying for ineligible dependents on your health plan. Removing ineligible dependents may help lower plan costs. Your American Fidelity representative can review with you to see if your information needs to be updated. Learn more.

Remember

Before enrollment begins, review your current insurance coverage and benefits options available to you and your family. Think about:

  • If you experienced a life change such as a birth of a child, marriage, etc.
  • Any questions you may have to help you understand how your benefits work.
  • If you want to sign up or renew a Healthcare Flexible Spending Account or Dependent Care Account and how much you’d like to contribute.
